Injuries
Eye injuries can be minor, or they can be severe. Protect your eyes when you are around chemicals or doing anything that creates flying debris.
Tips
- See your eye doctor regularly.
- Avoid using electronic devices excessively.
- Always wear protective eyewear when playing sports or when doing things that involve hazardous chemicals, flying debris, or objects that could become projectiles.
- Eat foods rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Vitamins B6, B9, and B12, Riboflavin, Niacin, Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Omega-3 fatty acids, and Thiamine.
- Drink plenty of water.
Treatment
Treatment depends on the cause of your eye condition. Your optometrist or ophthalmologist will explain what your options are.
